Production Associate - Part Time

20 +/- Hours per week. Must be willing to work flexible hours. $20/Hr.



Assist in the schedule of cablecast (playback) programming. Enter programming data into software (TelVue). Encode programs onto the digital server. Maintain server; on a regular basis, delete unnecessary/outdated programming. Maintain quality control over video and audio signal on the channel (with assistance, as needed). Maintain digital archive of programs for broadcast. Assist in the management of scheduled programs. Assist the Operations Manager with the promotion of scheduled programming.


Have a strong working knowledge of TV studio production techniques. Assist in studio production as needed. Be able to function in any needed crew position. Provide production assistance and technical guidance to community producers and volunteers. Understand operation of and troubleshoot studio video and audio equipment. Have a thorough understanding of video editing software (Final Cut Pro 7 and X). Maintain edit suites. Be able to teach and assist producers/volunteers in the use of editing software. Assist in teaching of TV Production classes. Understand and adhere to studio production processes and procedures. Assist in monitoring field equipment usage and condition; arrange and prepare field equipment for check out; conduct routine preventative maintenance on all Princeton TV equipment. Assist in maintaining inventory of SD Cards, hard drives, batteries, and other consumable items. Assist in maintaining studio equipment database.

Fill-in/assist with the production and cablecast of municipal meetings as needed. OFFICE

Understand daily office operations: mail and package receiving and distribution, telephone management, filing system, guest and producer reception, etc. Understand all procedures and flow for new membership, producer disclaimer, program requestor, equipment checkout, etc. Understand mechanics of membership and sponsorship database management system. Make recommendations for purchasing supplies and office equipment and understand ordering process and procedures.


Must work well with others; work within a team environment. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Provide a warm and welcoming environment to ALL who come into the studio
