Our lives are increasingly shaped by science and technology, from the tiny innovations in our houses, to the major inventions used in the larger world. To help us understand our ever-changing world, this series on the history of science will explore the development of scientific ideas and practices in the widest possible historical and cultural contexts, all aimed at helping us understand our own “Age of Discovery.”
